I use Verizon in Canada with no problem. Recently switched to Verizon after 25 years with AT&T. Good reception with AT&T but my phone quit working and they wouldn't let me keep my old plan. Their customer service is staffed by arrogant idiots.
Best cell phone providers?

Not a problem with the equipment, but the morons I had to deal with. -
Great coverage, few dropped calls and you can speech roam on Verizons' network for free. Customer service is in the US and I never had an issue with their services. -

I've run in 46 states and 4 provinces in Canada and always have been able to get and receive calls with my Verizon phone. I've had other providers, Sprint, Tracfone, Virgin Mobile they don't even compare. I spend a lot of time in the Dakotas, Wyoming, and Montana, on or off the interstate you defiantly want Verizon, the others just won't work!

I use Sprint myself and have great coverage. I would agree with a lot on here Verizon seems to be a bit better......but no way I'm paying their ridiculous rates, they can't even compare to Sprints rates for unlimited minutes and data/everything plans. AT&T has the best phones (for now) but I'm happy with Sprint (best value for the money)
