Well... Unless a person has actually used all of the providers listed above, how would they know?

Allow me to rephrase: "Based on your experience with the following cell phone providers, which one do you think is best?"

I can't form an intelligent opinion of a service I've never used. But I do use Verizon and it works for me so far.

I know folks that like Sprint, and others that swear by Nextel.

Well, you can form an opinion based on the combination of personal experience, word of mouth, research, and posting on internet forums.

I know, I'm an easy target because I'm a newbie. I'll have to spend a little more time editing my posts before I publish them..

I currently use Verizon and have for about 4 years now and have only found a couple of dead spots out of the various places that I have been (they are on a hill in a logging area in NW Oregon where we go hunting.. no phones get out of there).. I used to use sprint but had a ton of dropped calls when in town and AT&T when I used them wasn't all that bad from what I remember. NEXTELL on the otherhand... the last company I drove for we had them and we were always roaming or no service just about everywhere we went with them !!

My sister-in-law swears by T-mobile along with one of my oldest friends and my dad swears by AT&T but I think for him it is because he thinks if he tries a new carrier he would have to try and figure out a new phone (he ain't good with tech gadgets !!)
