TND 500

I have enjoyed using the RM GPS this week. I have entered addresses in and I think it would be great if we could edit the GPS location with out having to delete the address first. Most of the places I have been to have the shipping and receiving around the corner on another street.

Just a thought.

Chris

Mark, I have heard there is another car GPS that has the ability to transmit it's location and if other GPS user's in the area are stuck in traffic then an alternate route is sent to all GPS's in the area to give a faster route around the traffic. Do you know if the RM GPS would be capable of doing that.

Sorry, was in the mist of writing a procedure for Mac users...

if you find the address is off, then you could go the cog (lower left) and save location. It will allow you to enter the name for that location.

But the thought of being able to enter via Lat/Long is being discussed, since other facets of trucking require that type of input.

Thanks for the thoughts.... cannot expound much of future stuff... but fun and great things coming down the line ...

Mark

I got my tnd 500 yesterday so have not had mush time to check it out, I did the updates first off. I think this has been brought up but to add a via you have to make a multi stop route? Also the users guide had a problem and would not come up (I have adobe) will try again but it would be nice to download from rm site as you can the quickstart and faq, since the dock is on my laptop and I am at home on the desktop.
Hope to see this thread wake up again so we all can share tips, wants and problems.
Thanks Bill

Yes,,, as of the version you have, you have to make a multi-stop to add a Via..

You can have the TND Dock run from both.. the unit does not have to be hooked up.

If you wish I can send your the install for the TND Dock..

if you have ver 1.0.45.0,,, you need to un-install or go to programs\rand Mcnally and delete this folder,, then run the install program again,,, hit repair and it should install correctly.

1.0.46.0 is the current version.

thanks,
Mark

I only use a macbook, currently running Snow Leopard.

I haven't checked yet on compatibility and haven't finished all 49 pages
