There isn’t any that does it reliably. However, there are a lot of them that advertise that they do and it will cost you an arm and a leg to find out they don’t. Hell, maybe even a few tickets as well.

I like my 465t for all its flaws. The pcmiler did nothing but make me angry.

This question will get you a 1000 answers.

A new driver may need something expensive and ALL inclusive.

But an experienced driver with many years under his belt...can get away with something cheaper and less "vehicle" critical.

I use a Garmin 205W, without issue. But I'm familiar with many areas I run. And know what to look for in areas I'm not so familiar with, I also have a phone that works.

Best GPS, that won't get you into trouble? Let me introduce you to the all new Rand McNally! Comes complete with a full listing of low overpasses, and conveniently highlights reccommended truck routes! Also shows permanent scales, for those drivers whose weight might be questionable, not to mention the weight of the truck. Also offers valuable information on who to call for road conditions and weather in EVERY STATE! Also offers city to city mileage for every major city in the U.S. and helps you to avoid most of the toll roads, for that extra savings! All this can be your for CONSIDERABLY LESS than other leading GPS units!

Seriously. Maps. Get'em, read'em. Now quit screwing around on the computer and get driving!

I got one for you. Just happened this morning. I made a delivery....thanks to my GPS.

Pull out your Rand Mcnally, and find County Road 49 in Baldwyn County, AL

Let me know how well that works out for you.

Don't knock technology, until you've tried it, more than once.

Just to be clear, I have the 465t stuck over the tach, the laptop with directions mapped over mapquest, google, or both with satellite view, the big Rand McNally atlas, directions from the shipper/receiver if I can get hold of them, and my nose. I use them all with great effect.

I'll give up my paper map when you pull it from my cold, dead hand, bwahahahahaha!! Or my warm, living one. Seriously, I have three or four floating around here somewhere

100% true...

After you get to know the roads pretty much anything will work just fine as long as you use good judgement and don't take unnecessary chances.

Some people claim ALK's CoPilot for trucks is junk...but I have found it VERY useful and it has always gotten me where I needed to be. It was my 2nd GPS, I had Streets and Trips before it and hated it.

I guess whats the best depends on the user...
