I just bought the verizon usb 760 today and it was 69.99 with a 50.00 rebate. I had to sign a 2 year contract. the plan is 59.99 for 5gb.

ive used verizon before and i didn't have unlimited but they found a way to charge me for everything they could ended up with a $700+ bill a couple of times. I then went over to sprint and got a data/phone plan with using the phone as a modem. Worked pretty good. Was only paying $185 a month. But I don't use sprint nor verizon anymore I use the new Straight Talk for $45 a month unlimited no monthly bill no contract which is great. And I only have to pay $75 a month after taxes for Sprint Mobile card.

My verizon usb card has a plan for 5gb a month and is 59.99 plus tax. For my phone I still use my t-mobile. I get 1000 minutes and free nights and weekends for 39.99 pkus tax. can't find another plan to match that.

Been using a Verizon aircard for over four years now. The only places I found so far where I couldn't get on the Internet were in Iverness, Ms, Pentington, AL, and Jane Lew, WV.

Today I recieved a letter from Sprint saying I had to alter my usage or they would cancel me. They said I was limited to 5gb mo . I had a very heated conversation with CS. They said that they had changed my unlimited plan in July to 5gb. I said I was told just 3wks ago when I renewed my contract that I was told I was still on unlimited plan and that someone with Sprint was lying. Anyway they let me out of the contract I signed just 3wks ago. I went to Verizon and got the MIFI and I got to say that Verizon's service is much faster than Sprints. I usually only get about 125Gbps with sprint when downloading a video but with Verizon I was getting 250Gbps. I will have to change my usage but Sprint lied to me about my service so they just lost a customer for life.

Like most companies, Verizon has service holes up in the NW... Montana and southern Idaho come to mind. Sprint and AT&T (ex-Cingular) are worse.

Sprint customer service is the worst. Had "inside" experience with all three when I was selling, and the crap that Sprint did to their customers was inexcusable. You may be satisfied with Sprint's service - if you ever have an issue with them, your experience will be much the same as claytonr1973. I saw this over and over again.

Absolutely "free" cellular service is a crock - because it isn't. If a cell company is giving you completely "free" service (like T-Mobile, Cricket) it's because they are hiding a large problem with what they do - mostly it's because they have little network coverage outside of major metro areas. The customer should be very wary, especially in our business. Ask to see a coverage map BEFORE you sign the contract!

If you don't mind me asking, how much data were you using at Sprint? I have the same contract you have, with the "grandfathered, soft cap." which means I won't get charged overages, but I'll get the letter you got if I go over too many times. The only other person I know who got that letter told me he was using 20 gigs a month. I'm just curious to see how far I can push them, and where the line is.

I was using about 7-8gb per month, but they also said I was over my 200mb off network alowance, which I'd never heard of. I actually dropped sprint in 2000 because I was charged a late fee every month even though I had reocurring CC billing. So once a month I had to spend 45+ minto get it removed. Sprint CS is as bad now as it was then/

Yeah, I heard they are pretty militant about the 200 mb roaming limit. I have mine set so it won't roam at all, which pretty much disables it in most of Louisiana and Mississippi. I'm right about 5 gigs right now, but I only have two more days until the next billing cycle. This is probably going to be the first month I've ever went over.

Google "Millenicom" and you'll find a better company. Probably where I'm going next. They have a $70 UNLIMITED plan.
