No blackbox on the newer Qcoms--all the smarts are in the 'head' right at the dome!!:biggrin_25525:

Also the newer qualcoms, are tied into the speedsensor on the truck. If you disconnect it and make your run. then reconnect after they wont know where you went. But they will know how far you went:biggrin_25510:

what kind of truck? i know on international you can put a "jumper" in the comp. hookup right next to the key switch. makes it show you're sitting still with the truck off. (i use it to keep idle % down)

yeah all in all a waste of time when u unplug anything most companies have it setup to alert them when such things have taken place.
only way would be to disable the antenna.
Of course then you have prepass records toll reciepts fuel reciepts etc.
If you cant afford the truck with what their paying why not just dump it .
However this jumper trick sounds interesting could you
    expand on this panhandle.
    thx

Get a shower cap....with elastic on the bottom....line it with aluminum foil.....stick it on the dome. You might want to run a loop of 100mph tape around it too....just to be sure it stays. You're done.

And like Brickman said..... If you don't like it....QUIT!

The best way is to unplug the dome an take out the fuse. without the dome plugged in you become invisible, however on some of the units the patch them into the trucks computer, if it still has power going to the unit it will record your speed an mileage, which could throw up a flag for them.
