Just saw one at. Flying j not much info was avaible. Did notice u are working with pro miles that is huge. Does this unit offer traffic? Can u give brief rundown on its features?
-
At this time we are not offering traffic. We feel it does not provide a great benefit in accurate routing based on the limited data available. For example there are no data providers that offer traffic info for secondary roads. We are, however, continuing to explore this feature.
Here is a quick rundown on some of the features:
- Large 7-inch screen
- 12 truck types (including doubles) that are fully configurable. There are 5 weight parameters and 7 length parameters that you can adjust. This lets the unit calculate a route that is legal for your truck.
- Hazmat routing.
- Exclusive ProMiles coverage
- Exclusive TruckDown coverage (repair/service locations)
- First-class "last mile" coverage (dock-to-dock) with over 2 million miles of truck-preferred routes and 2 million miles of truck restrictions.
- 12 million points-of-interest, including truck stop amenities (WiFi, showers, laundry, etc.)
- Our AURA database of redlight camera intersections
-
Does this unit also have Canadian truck routing? So far I have heard that only the PCMiler 440 has that.
-
Are the maps 2D or 3D? Or do you have a choice?
-

-
Does that gps or any other gps unit have a built in radar detector?
-
Greets to Everyone, and Brian
No GPS in production yet has a radar detector built in that i could search up, Also keep in mind that many states are introducing detection equipment at the scales and it is a big no no to have one in a commercial vehicle - disclaimer aside.
the 7700 has a Red Light/Speed camera/Speed trap database that can be updated and from my experience using the unit it is highly accurate, and if one is missing can be submitted for future updates. -
Hi
I have looked after a truck nav to replace the old VDO/Dayton I have in my trucks when they dont make any new ones. This lookes OK but have still some questions: Is possible to have a European map in it?
I live i Sweden and drives all the Europe. If so: Is it possible to tucht the screen in for exampel a gasstation coming up further away and the system takes med there? Is it possible to enlarge the view of the map while driving? How many destinations can I save?
Would be very happy to get this answers.
Thanks in advance.
