Oh boy, learning to read again

Well it has been awhile since I was on here to write or enjoy the offerings, but I seem to find myself with a spare moment or two this afternoon (hoping to make that a habit once again)...He is on the road (first time on his own)and I am working my career, the kids are doing pretty skippy in school and the home fires are under control...but they are burning nonetheless. Just talked to him about his upcoming evening and I have discovered something within myself I am lacking...I do not read maps the way he wants me to or needs me to, I am one of those people that once you drive it you know where you are going so I have never really read maps before now and this is like a crash course in reading, there has been no fussing yet, yeah I said yet, cause I do not like having a flaw that is pointed out all the time, once in a while sure okay I can handle that, but I know he will call again to ask me something about this or that and I will be sitting there reading this map (well at least looking at the map, my eyes glazing over slightly) as he signs softly and tries to walk me thru it, gentle man that he is and I will be the one to fuss...Oh boy this learning to read again is not something they teach in college (yes I looked into it)
