I know my last posting was very long winded so I'll cut it short.

Im a Class A student grad. with ALL endorsements, I have a forklift operators license, & a TWIC Card. I cant get a job cause the school I went to only made me do 40 hours. As a student I need 160 hours to get hired. To get the 160 I'll need $1700 so my only options are find someone that will hire me with the 40 hours(which is not looking to bright) or some how come up with $1700 and go back to school for 3 month without having a job right now.

can someone please help me on what I need to do? or maybe know some options out there that could help me out. Thanks

How many companies have you applied with? try contacting smaller companies instead of the mega ones. Look thru your phone book.

truckin101 I did try smaller companies. I pulled up the yellow book on-line, & sent my resume out to everybody from A to Z. those who didnt have a website, I faxed it. If they didnt have a fax, I called. I even went door to door trying to hand out my resume.

It has been many years since I have started out and had to go through training. My father in law went through training and never been to school went and got his permit and had a friend teach him the basics on country road and practiced backing in an mty parking lot, then found a company that told him all he needed was a cdl and they could put him with a trainer. that was in 2000, I have not really kept up with the rules and regs. on how much school they need, so they may have changed. I am sorry if I misled you. but I wish u the best.
