Wow. I knew it was bound to happen but I didn't realize it would be in my first few weeks. I already need a vacation!

I'm late again with this update, I know. Again, it's hard to find time when you're out here on your own. I've been too busy being Swift's local Sears #####. Yep, I said it. I've been given 4 loads this week all under 200 miles and all of them for Sears. All of them required I do the work of the yard dog at the shippers and receivers. I moved so many trailers....wasted entire days on just 1 of those loads. My miles probably only just broke 1000. It was a 600 mile HazMat load of BIC lighters that did it.

My pay for this upcoming check is already overspent and I'm overdrawn at the bank. I am getting $50 for the yard dog work thanks to my awesome DM. It's the planners right now that my frustration is targeted. I told my DM about how crappy my miles were so he tried to fix it this third week but I'm going home for the weekend. That'll be two days I won't be running so this week will only be mediocre. I have had two 600 miles loads just this week, so when I come back on Monday, I will have 2 days to make the most of. I have to make at least 2000 per week to break even with my monthly expenses (wife/child). That leaves 800 or so miles to drive in two days.

I bounced all around the New England area. NY, DE, PA, MD...again, mostly Sears. My last two loads (which includes the one I'm on now) have been super heavy paper loads. I'm in Kentucky now with a trailer full of trash newspaper and ads just bulldozed into it. Headed to a newpaper plant (makes newspaper to sell to newspaper agencies to print) in Macon, GA. My DM is trying to find me a load all the way home but more than likely, I'll just end up deadheading the rest of the way to Valdosta.

I Macro 13'ed my DM and told him I will never run another Sears load unless it is over 350 miles. His response was the $50 TMove pay. LOL!
