LmfaO, I love to drink too! TOO much, as a matter of fact. Prob is that I have this allergy: whenever I drink, I break out in handcuffs! That crap got old so I sought a better way of life.

After 19 months (as of today) of continued sobriety I live my life no longer looking over my shoulder cuz of the stupid crap I did while wasted. I enjoy living honestly, no lying to the wife bout where I was n what or WHO I was doing, no lying to homies over a pass made at their girl or not showing up like a good friend does when needed. No calling into work cuz my head is big as texas from the night b4. I don't worry bout DUI's, my kidneys or std's (LOL)

Most importantly I have developed a manner of living based on spiritual principles and all that has allowed a level of serenity and the ability to be a good husband, a good father, a loyal friend and a trustworthy employee.

To me that beats the SNOT out of any buzz I got from Alabama slammers, Long Island Ice Tea's, sucking the Tequilla worm OR a 12 pack of Leinenkugle's brewskies! (Wisconsin, hey, can't tell us POOP bout drinkin!)

If no one has started a group here we alcoholics all need to get together and come up with one. Is't not always easy on the road to find a group. The truck stop churchs don't do the trick. I need someone to reach out to on the road. I enjoy my face to face meetings at home but not home most of the time.

Hey Trashy, did you find out anything more about AA in the truckers report? If you did I would like to know. Its hard out here on the road but I am keeping it straight. I just miss my group meetings at home. It keeps you clean and straight when you see the sane people all the time. Hang in there we are all in this together!

It takes two to have a meeting. Anyone know of places where Friends of Bill meet regularly on the road, or at least close to a stopping point that is rig friendly?
