The Gestapo Strikes again!!!!!!!


PSP DETAILED REPORT compliments of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration--- grrrrrr! Neighbors, you better be aware that there is a report put out on individual drivers that tells all your little naughties (log violations, speeding, improper lanes, etc) but ALSO lists every freakin violation on the equipment that it has ever been gigged for while YOU operated it. Here are mine:

inop tail lamps, adj axle locking pin, missing or disengaged (double check BOTH sides after sliding tandems y'all!), tire tread depth less than 2/32nds, bad fire extinguisher, inspection, repair and maint parts and accessories, brake hose/tubing chaffing and or kinking, inadequite or damaged securement (that's the 1/4 inch nick in the straps many of us including myself have overlooked) and clamp/roto type brake(s) out of adjustment.

Do A GOOD PRETRIP cuz stuff can and will come back to bite you in the butt. If you're anything like me and been involved w not-so-good companies some things you've had to run or risk not being on time, missing a reload or even risk not getting PAID. OR the company just slap wont cover it outside the their yard. And the dandiest of them all (thanks Palmentere Bros, you douchebags) being stuck with a hunk of junk trailer on a driver load swap..GRRRR! Companies will take advantage of you at ever opportunity they get, we all know this. I am here to tell you that the best offense is STILL a good defense. Make them suckers square you away at the yard, annotate EVERYTHING on your logbook pre-trip inspection. SAVE THOSE LOGS!

Now, this PSP Detailed Report is to your advantage as well cuz it shows the companies you HAVE worked for. As an example, if you worked for C Bean or Arrow and they are now defunct, out of biz or have filed bankruptcy and/or changed their stinking name and NEVER heard of you (right, sheesh), it WILL be on this report and verify employment and skill history.
