I work the long Beach Ca. Ports and into Az. I am trying to maximize my potential for miles which of course means $$
I was told to look here with this question about splitting my sleeper.
I have been trying to figure out how to split my sleeper for a while now.
It has been explained to me several times but I just don't get it. do you have an example of a log showing it. I think if I see it, I'll get it.
Thanks in advance.

Splitting sleeper time can be done, it's just tricky. Do a search on it, and you will find some answers!

You DON'T have to show 10 hrs. in sleeper! You can show 8 in sleeper and 2 ODND, or any combo of 10 hours in a row off.

you can split your sleeper by having 8 hours in one rest period and 2 and quarter in the next one. you can still only have 11 hours driving and 14 total combined in the 2 rest periods. hope this helps.

Splitting sleeper is not worth it now. The first sleeper berth has to be a mininmum of 8 hours. Not like b4 were it was a mininum of 2hrs. Your 10 hr break does not have be 10hrs sleeper. It is defined as any combination of lines 1 and 2 as long as it equals to 10 consecutive hours off
