I would like to report that after all this headache I finally scored a flawless P/U and delivery! But I can't. Sorry.

I got to my P/U about 12:45. The guard said "were closing so try to be quick. You're to drop your mt in this spot. Your loaded is right next to it."

I parked the mt smooth as silk. Hooked up and my tandems wouldn't slide. Pin was hung.

So I decided to get out and try to fix it outside the gate. They had a scale on the way out. I was a few hundred over on tandem. The guard was cool about it and decided to try to help.

I have a Steele bar that finally broke the pin loose and I got legal.

I boogied on to H. E. Butt grocery warehouse. Denied entrance. I'm several hours past appointment. But I was sent a message at 7:40 p.m. that it was being rescheduled. Well, it wasn't. Go to.

I leave and call. "Oh, you're a work-in."
"Really? Well y'all forgot to let the consignee know that."
"There must have been a breakdown in communication."
"Ya think? There's been a lot of that lately."
"Well, we can't help you right now. Call back after 7 and talk to first shift."
"Right-O."

Call after 7 and get my DBL. "First off, I still ain't got my $50 Lumper pay from December. Second....." He says he'll get it taken care of and quickly tries to get off the phone.
"Wait a moment! You are getting me home this weekend, right?"
"I'll see what I can do. Bye."

Not good enough keemosabe. You'll find yourself with an empty truck for one of those new suckers.
