What an exciting morning. Yesterday was crap. I vote yesterday down. I removed it from my Friend List. I thought surly I would go to bed and the next time I opened my eyes it would be a brand new, better day.

Last night I parked myself at the Pilot in Marion, IL. If you have noted the news today, you know what that means.
Normally I sleep pretty hard. However; about four a.m. this morning I was rudely awakened by heavy rain, hail, high wind and tornado sirens.

Hopefully this won't be taken the wrong way, but I'm a tornado fan. I love videos of tornados, etc. Therefore; one might think I was excited.
No.
It's hard to get very excited about a tornado I can't see; which is usually a problem associated with darkness.

I sent my wife a text, which thankfully she did not see until after she woke up later in the morn. I checked the weather on my phone. Word was the twister was about 6 miles to my south east, too far away to worry about..... Unless it spawned another one. But since there's nothing I could do, I see little sense in fretting over it.

Soon after I heard a loud bang and my truck rocked hard. Great, someone hit me. I looked out the window and a truck is backing in next to me. I get dressed and go look, not a scratch. No idea what happened.

My wife asked why I didn't go into the store. Well, it's coming a flood and hailing like crazy. If there is a tornado, I'm safer in a truck than running across a parking lot. Even if we took a direct hit, the truck is some kind, even if not ideal, of a barrier. Whereas running in the open leaves me with no protection at all. Plus the truck has a better chance of weighing me down than my cutie bootie.

Cheers to excitement.
Y'all stay safe!
