I've been dead in the water for over 24 hrs now. Strange how things work. I had a load for Sunday morning to Houston. Support calls me and asks if I mind switching to Round Rock because the driver on that run doesn't have enough hours. It delivers earlier than mine.

Ok.

So here I set ever since. I updated my time a couple different times hoping it would come back to their attention. I sent in a message to which I got no response.
I understand, it's a holiday weekend and I run a pretty tight area and the shippers to that area may not be open. But dang, some form of communication would be nice.

So, being Monday, I call my DBL. After being on hold for a while I finally get someone who tells me my DBL is off today. How can she help?

I explain what's up and she says, "Oh yeah, the girl covering that isn't very good." I wanted to laugh or something because I get THAT remark out of the girl who screwed up last week scoring me another day off midweek.

Oh the joys of competence.

So I'm sittiin here with my thumb up my.... Last night I moseyed over to Walgreen's and bought a small speaker to plug into my laptop & DVD player. I can plug them into my stereo, but I have to kill the truck else it makes a loud squeal thru the speakers. So, this way I can keep my air running.
But it wasn't loud enough. Got to find something better.

I went into to GNC to try some meal replacement shakes. I need something to give me what my body needs, help me feel like I've eaten yet not add pounds to me. Maybe it'll help; we'll see.

He pointed me toward some "natural energy" supplements as well. But I can only afford so much at a time. The bottle he was handling was just over $30.

Then he tried to sell me on some vitamin d3 candy. Just a couple a day, the bag should last a few weeks. He told me the vitamin d3 aids my body in giving proper instruction on where to store fat so it doesn't build all in one inconvenient location.

I did a lil research on VD3 and found nothing of the sort. However; I did learn that VD3 is very important in a variety of things in our body. Deficiency increases depression, mental impairment, bone degeneration, increased back pain, diabetes, lower immune levels and more. The primary source for obtaining VD3 is simple: sunlight; without sunblock. A few minutes a day in the sunlight can allow the body to produce enough VD3 to do what your body needs. The other main source was oily fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines...) So no wonder Dracula is so pale; he's deficient in VD3.

I then took in a movie at Flix Brewhouse & Theater. I watched Men in Black 3: 3D. Well, that made my eldest boy cry like a lil girl because he wanted to see it and I went without him.

The theater was pretty nice. I've never been to a theater like this. We could order drinks/food at our seat. So I ordered a couple beers and some potato skins. I never got my skins. Later on I paged the server and handed him a note that I never received the food. Since the movie was nearly over I scrapped the order and he comped me the beers!

So I went next door to the Homefield Grill, which I guess is owned by Nolan Ryan because everything on the menu was baseball themed and had Ryan's name all over it. I got a bacon & pepperjack burger and chili-cheese fries & water. The fries weren't bad. The burger? One of the best I ever had!

And I just now learned I've made my middle boy upset because today is his birthday and he wants me to take him bowling.

Dare not I ask "what next." I still sit here with no assignment.

What's Next? perhaps a restart and another blog post.

Edit: after 24 hours, I'd look at (want) resetting my hours, Could always keep on calling just to get the same answers. Obviously, planners don't always plan well

A couple hours after posting this I sent a QualComm mesg to ask "WTF". Soon after I received another load to pick up in the morning.
