I notice that since TTR changed up there seems to be a low turn out on the blogs. They admins said they relocated the buttons because it was in the way and not many people used the blogs. Well, it seems that hiding the button at the bottom of the page has discouraged fewer people to use it. Shame, cause I got a release from the blog.

Recently I picked up a trailer that had a bad slick spot on it. I picked up my load and headed to WingFoot at an FJ. They were completely out of Schneider tires. They directed me to another WF a few miles away that was on my route.

I got parked and checked in and went back to the rig. A few minutes later a saw in the mirror a couple guys standing near the back of the trailer, so I went to join them. One guy disappeared before I got there and the other was sitting down talking on his phone.

As I approached he asked, "Are you with Schneider?"

"Dang, nothing gets by you, Slick? What tipped you off; my Schneider hat or that I just got out of the Schneider truck? Or did you just put two and two together?
You should start a private detective agency. Call it something catchy like 'Diamond Dix Detection' or 'Irritable Ike's Investigations' or something cool like that."

They were only half as slow as the WF I go to at the J.


Below is a couple pics I found. First one happened in Oregon at a paper mill (according to the post where I found it.) He detached his trailer but didn't pull far enough off of the dump ramp.

And of course in this shot we simply have an insecure load. Someone pulled them over and gave them a hug and they felt a lil more secure after that.

    Heres a bump for you . Until now, i didnt know how to get to a blog except to click on a persons name or look towards the bottom for the Top 10 stats. Now i see the text link at the very bottom above the copyright(s). Typically in web design, the features of the site are listed towards the top and/or top sides or some other way thats very obvious and (should be) easy to use and access the feature. Unless this forum doesnt really want the blogs to get all the attention (then why have it?). I myself, dont fully see the need of a blog on a forum based site. I see alot of posts in the forums that would be considered blogs. So unless they make easy obvious access the blogs, its a wasted feature. Unless you're able to keep your blog in the top 10 latest blog stats.

    Heard a new one on the radio here in Pa today. Apparently a couple bear cubs were playing in the road on US11 near Wilkes-Barre.

    Thanks, but "bumps" don't work on the blogs. They just kinda fade away. But they are indexed for future reference. So if someone is searching for information on OTRA or Continental Truck School, then a search for them will turn up the blogs.

    Ok....I admit it...I don't like the new layout. I am usually on my phone when I'm checking the boards and haven't fully explored where they moved everything to. I have a few days off so I promise to get familiar with the new look and visit more often.
    (oh, and maybe even blog a little to boot!)

    I'm ok with the color scheme. But I don't like the blogs button harder to find. I also have a harder time locating private messages and visitor messages.
