I loaded my 1st tarped load last nite...

...and I hated it.
I like my regular work much better. I usually open the doors and back up and check the temperature once in a while, none that thing they call work.
The company didn't have time to show me how to do it, Boss explained how to put the flaps and all that but there wasn't time to physically unroll one or anything.
I did about a dozen flatbed loads but on a Rolltite, I liked those much better than tarping a load of steel tubing.
But I did get lucky in that one of the other drivers there very kindly decided to help me.
I was OK to strap it and put some belly wrap chains. But covering the load was a problem.
I don't think he helped me, it was more like I helped him.
Once I was done costing him time, I tried to thank him by giving him a few bucks ($50) to "pay for his time", "dinner is on me", "saving my ###", whatever.
He turned it down, telling me, somebody took the time to show him, now he showed someone, now it's my turn.
There are still some good people around.
But I still think tarping isn't for me.
