I thought I had posted on here last night. Doesn't look like it though. But I was so tired I kept zoning out. Figured when I kept bouncing my head on the keyboard I should probably go on to bed.
Now that I think about it.... I had typed out a blog. I vaguely remember bits of it. Apparently I failed to post it. Hmmm.... maybe that's a good thing.

So yesterday I bring my truck into the OC. I walk into the shop and start screaming and cussing and throwing things about..... heheh... bet that'd go over like a turd in a punch bowl.
So I explain to the service writer my issue. He pulls it up on the computer and rattles all this stuff that was done that checked out ok. So I calmly reach over the counter and pull his face up into the monitor and tell him "I don't give a good God d&*n what that computer say I'm effing hotter en hell and I'm sick of it. The thing is like a man with E. D., it aint performing!"
Or... mmm.. maybe I more calmly told him that whatever they did that checked out right, someone unchecked it because whatever was right before it came into the shop it's all made worse since then. So, sir, I respectfully beg to differ.

"Well, the soonest we can get to it is Friday afternoon."
"Ok."
"We have a double crew set for Friday morning. We MIGHT can get to it then."
"Ok, set it up. I'm not in Dallas on Friday's, so just do your thing as soon as you can."
"Well, I can't write it up now. If I do you won't be able to leave with it."
"I don't care. I don't want to go anywhere else in it until the a/c is fixed."
"Well... okayyyy....," he replied looking a lil disappointed.

Next up, talk to the DBL. He looked just as wearied. He went to scouting out a loaner. One in Houston, one in Virginia and an abandoned rig in Duncan, OK...but no drivers are bound for that area. That left one option: the Ultra-Shift (automatic.) However, I have to go thru a training video and road test on it. One of the trainers said he'd squeeze me in if I came it at 0700 the next morning (which turned out to be today.)

The thing looked like someone had gotten really pissed at it..... several times. We head out to pre-trip it. No oil in the tank. Driver corner of the bumper is missing. Buttons on the dash mashed through the console. When I brake it dumps about 60 psi. Won't go into gear. All kindsa lil things like that.

So I go report it to the shop. They lookit up on the computer and it shows an open work order already and is due for a PM. So we wouldn't have got out the gate anyway.

So now I'm back at the hotel for another night. My DBL talked to em and they told him they'd have my truck ready in the morning.

The wife lost her job, found out she has a broke bone in her hand, had a scheduling assignment dispute with her college teacher and apparently the IRS thinks we still owe them some money.

And in a happier surprise, my wife and kids showed up here at the hotel. SO now we party our blues away! WOOT!

Oh yeah, and your favorite blogger was the photo feature for the topic of the day on Schneider's Facebook page.
