Publishing and Nightmares

Man it's been a while since I've been on the Report. I quit posting mainly because I felt I had nothing new to say. Then some other things began to really occupy my mind.
My DBL was on vacation last week, so everything is pretty jacked up. My entire routine gone to #&$@:-&:!$ Where I was hitting the house every other night, now I've only made the weekend. That's a tough turn. Repeatedly I would call in and ask what's going on, "what we NORMALLY do is this...... Can we not keep doing what we NORMALLY do?" Apparently not. Not while my DBL is away. Sucks that because of it I missed Parent Night at the school. So, didn't get to see my girls band performance.
Making things far worse is that almost every night I dream about driving. Either I'm driving when I'm supposed to be on break so it's a mad dash to find someplace to stop before my computer detects I'm driving. Or, more often than not, traffic is intense and I have difficulty controlling speed, having to use hard brakes or swerve, sharp turns that I can't slow down in time for. Missed turns that I can't seem to get back to.
Even recently I dreamed I missed my turn so went into a shopping center to turn around. Middle of the night, all these black guys start harassing me about being in their place and I can't be there. They start jumping on the truck and distracting big time and I hit a parked car. It only got worse from there. I call 911 & they ask for my pass code before they'll help me.
To add insult to injury, most of the time I am lucid, I know that I'm dreaming. I may even sit up and look around. But the dream continues, or starts over. It's usually so intense and so stressful that I don't even really want to go to bed because it's more work than actually working. I need Hypnocil, that dream suppressing drug they gave the teens in "Freddy vs Jason."

On to the cooler news. Recently I got into an....exchange with an online newspaper on their Facebook page, Texan Post. I told them the more of their stories I read the more of a leftist rag they seemed and that just offends my Texan spirit and I was gonna hafta dislike them.
They actually responded. They claimed they are fairly balanced but if I can't figure that out on my own them I probably didn't belong with them.
I thanked them for a classy response.
They came back with an offer I couldn't refuse: If I wanted to see something "not left" in their paper, write it myself and they'd print it.
They did. Exactly as I wrote it.
Since they ran it, they told me they didn't expect it to do very well but they were surprised that it had over 100 "shares." Since then it has grown to over 1,000 shares, two other websites have featured it and a magazine has indirectly requested to print it. One lady told me she used it in a training session, but I dunno what kind of training. I've had another request to use it, but no specifics. Kudos from a small town newspaper editor. A model in New York shared it to the Philippines. And heck, even NBA rookie Kevin Durant shared it.
Hope you enjoy it.
