Any international truck driving jobs for 45 years old EU citizen?

If you mean can you get your license in the EU and come to the US and drive? It is my understanding that unless you drive for a EU company that runs into the US that you would need to get a CDL or commercial license in the US if you want to work for a US company. That could mean having to go to a US accredited driving school, depending on your level of experience. The rules in the EU will be different than in the US.

 

I am sorry that I misunderstood your question, Kostas. I thought that you were wanting something outside of the EU. Perhaps someone who has worked in the EU will comment on your question. If it is anything like the US, I would expect that it would not be a problem. There are many older people who are finding jobs in trucking in the United States. In fact, older drivers are highly sought after by carriers due to their stronger work ethic, among other reasons.

 

E.U. where? you woulden't find a job here in italy, not because of your age but because ain't much driving jobs at the moment

 

Probably Germany or northern europe. A guy that worked with me left last week for Norway.he found a job there. I think the situation in Greece,Italy and Spain is really similar.

 

I would like to follow up on this topic. Are there any chances that the 21 year-old driver with no experience of employment within the EU. I own a driver's license category C + E, and also plan to get ADR. Or a chance to someone give me for start to drive a vans or small trucks, before I sit in a haulage truck?
