FedEx Express Integrates New Modec Hybrids into U.K. Fleet

FedEx Express and Modec have introduced 10 new electric commercial vehicles for use in the United Kingdom. The vehicles, designed for commercial operation in urban environments, will travel an average of 13,725 miles in a year.

Each vehicle features the FedEx EarthSmart logo, and the effort is part of the company's commitment to improve fuel efficiency of its vehicle fleet by 20 percent and cut carbon dioxide emissions from its aircraft fleet by 20 percent per available ton mile by 2020.
