has any one delt with expediters wanted?

Okay so you say you have to still pay appx 2,500 in loan to go to ITS. And that will be a bill you have to pay and don't want to try to make money and owe money at the same time. Lets add up the costs to work for Expediters according to the link you provided since you seem to need to have this laid out for you:

You have to have your MVR faxed over to them.
MVR $6 (according to them, $8 in MI)
Fax$3.00

Requirements:
Sprint Boost Mobil or Sprint Nextel 2 way radio (which has to be established before your get the job)
$100/mo basic phone:$200
12vt charger:$25
appx:$325 to start up.(not including a deposit is a min of $200 depending on credit)

GPS(Garmin is recommended)
$100(via walmart.com)

At this time you already accumilated:$436(without deposit)-$636 just to get the required equirement

Then you are also required the following:
Required Operating Funds You Must Have: $800.00 - $1500.00 (needed for food, showers, snacks, cigarettes and fuel)

Tally so far $1236-$2136

Finally you have to give them a personal vechicle for collateral.(company policy they state you have to have) appx $1000 for trade in.

So far...$2236-$3136

You are reimbursed 16% for fuel and 5% insurance. You are paid 35% for each load. (which can take up to 4 weeks for direct deposit and all paperwork to be completed)

For Example. If one specific load paid $1,000.00 gross to the unit (at .80 cplm), your pay would be as follows:
$350.00 wage
$160.00 fuel
$50.00 insurance
$560.00 would be your total pay for this one - particular load.

Sounds pretty good right so far if you have the...$2236-$3136 to start up ??
All positions are paid via 1099 and you would be an Independent Contractor. Do we know that that means??

This means that your pay is not $560 for this load. You have to pay for your gas, which is only rembursed 16% or $160 for this load. You've already paid that or more before it's delivered and before you get paid. You have to pay your own insurance which they issue the VIN of the van and tell you what insurance company to 'coordinate' things with. Thus, as with gas you are only reimbursed 5% which as with the example above is only $50 and again every policy is different you may owe more money on your policy. In the end you only take home $350. And this is without federal and state taxes taken out. They stated that you only work M-F with nov to march being a 'slow' time. And after that you may have to work longer hours that the 8-11 hrs to working weekends. This says that you may not be home for weeks and you could also go months without working and since your an independant contractor, they can do that.

At this point tell me again why you diden't go with ITS trucking school? Becuase you have to take out a loan for $2,500? And 'And with someone withdrawling their offer to let me stay there'. Sounds to me you have a money issue and at this point if you don't have $2300-$3200 or more UP FRONT your little dream will not become realtiy. Or are you hopeing to have someone just give you a free ride and who can tolerate bo....you wanted opinions..here you go face reality and see that it's a SCAM.
