Uship is making money off the show too,indirectly... What would it cost them to buy real tv ads? that show costs them nothing and pushes business their way.. you may not use them to find loads but you can bet viewers do to find trucks.... never watch the show, commercials of it make me think its stupid...
WARNING: USHIP has huge brokerage fees (hidden)

Remember that when the TV show starts they say it is there top level transporters that are biding at the same time each day. Uship.com has possibly hundreds of carries with small pickup trucks to large trucking companies that come and go all the time. The ones on TV have earned a name for themselves over time, most of them anyway. You need some drama to use this stuff on TV. I would bet most of the time it is just routine deliveries and P/U just like the rest of us. Also remember these solo drivers do not have a very big network system backing them up. Like it or not, these drivers pay out of their own pocket for almost everything they do. So I do have some respect for them getting by on the low end of transportation services.

Yes...it's a TV SHOW.
I think they actually state "Select Top Level Transporters" - which more than explains how this is all rigged and no one outside of this 'special group' bids...we never see a load lost to an unknown....FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
That guy that seems to do ok from the time I watched it was the guy in the KW. He put together a pretty good LTL load and it paid better then 2 bucks a mile all in all.
FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
I seen a dirt bike frame going from where i live maryville, tn to Leesburg, VA.. 468 miles and the shipper was asking $50. I saw one offer was rejected for $68. How in the hell can a man make a living off of that?

Most folks dont think about it being commercial business.. the are just looking for someone
(a private joe blow) going that way that could drop it off and pay for some of their gas money.... not as a business.. IMO.. -
Im always a fan of the brokered loads that want to pay $400 for a car going from coast to coast. :/ Sure Let me pay you to ship your products....
