Have you ever heard of the US constittuion? Why should you uship give up private information? US dot don't show up no where. If they have a problem with you they will notify you by mail first or some other way. Then they may come. I don't fool with central either cars are like M&M's you have to have a sack full to have anything. I really wouldn't worry about ##### they don't attract any prices worth much concern.

88 I don’t use Uship. I felt I needed to make that clear. I play by the rules when it comes to driving on public roads. My back ground as a professional driver is clean and my insurance company recognizes it by giving me excellent rates. I’ve never used Uship and I wouldn’t know if drivers were legal or not. It really isn’t any of my business nor do I care to make it my business. I do my best to be a good Christian by keeping my nose in my own yard. My point is that it’s one of many options for people to do their own thing.

    Be safe out there.

I have used uship a few times but find myself being underbid and someone else wins the bid, only to sometimes get a call direct from the person shipping the boat asking if i am still intersted in moving it for them, because the transporter who shows up can't handle the move.

I've booked a few loads (haul cars) with Uship, but most of the time, I dont have all week to wait on the customer to decide what they are gonna do, or i get under cut by low ballers. Thats where a little common sense or experience comes in, you have to know your costs, and bid accordingly. If your crazy or stupid enough to think you can haul ANYTHING for fifty cents a mile, you deserve what you get!!! And as for their fees, they arent that bad, because i've figured out that some brokers have tried to keep 25% or more, if you dont check them out real close, and hold their feet to the fire and demand decent pay. I've made money off Uship, but do a lot more off Central Dispatch, but you have to stick to your guns adn don't take crappy load pay or your going to go broke...REAL QUICK!!!

The bad part about USHIP is that the private party customers A). Don't know what it costs to run a big truck B). Don't care if their carrier is an illegal alien with no DL nor Insurance.

So you try to sell your services and professionalism and it falls to the low bids pushed out by Jose and his 1975 Econoline Van with no insurance and stolen tags.

If Uship got serious about vetting their carrier partners the rates would be reasonable. They have some decent opportunities for platform loads sometimes from what I see. Bid on freight that requires a 50 ton lowboy you won't have the bootleg carriers able to compete since most don't have a $70k trailer to do the job.

All you have to do is watch the Shipping Wars TV Show and look at their trucks...look real close...at the kid with the van that is always complaining about hauling for no money, Jarrett I think. There is no way hes a legal shipper, since he has no markings his truck of any kind, and neither does Jennifer for that matter. They are always bragging about how CHEEP they can do stuff and under cutting Marc and long haired Roy...and lowball every one else out. There is only one way they can do that, lack of expenses...NO INSURANCE OR OPERATING AUTHORITY!!! case closed
