    Hello,

I am based in the Midwest and wanting to start Hot shoting ( one ton and gooseneck) and am looking for dispatching services for LTL freight. I am finding it very hard to find information on the industry.

Starting out I want to use a dispatcher service to keep me loaded and moving. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find good Dispatching services specific to LTL Hot Shots?

    Thanks in advance.

Look at uship dot com. It's a board that people post things on they want to ship and you bid on the price you can do it for. You can plan your own runs and where you wanna go. Hope it helps

Thanks but Uship is a joke. I am looking for a professional company that does dispatching services. Uship is not for professionals.

Dispatch services are not for professionals . Real hotshotters that succeed sell themselves and their services . The ones that come in asking where to find loads don't last six months. Yes , the best of them use brokers but once they demonstrate profesionalism with their service the brokers call them with the good loads that don't go on the boards.

    thanktheLord Thanks this.

I've seen them come and seen them go . The ones that last knock on doors , shake hands , slap backs , buy breakfasts , and hand out their wives' homemade cookies. They look professional and keep their equipment in top shape . When they get a load they get it done showing professionalism . They know the rate they need and deserve and accept nothing less.
The losers scrounge for loads from load boards and logistics companies but don't last long .
There are some good sources for LTL loads but not many . Those that get them worked hard to find them and aren't about to disclose them to someone just coming in and asking for good loads.

LTL means less than money as far as I'm concerned.
Theres a few that will"build" a load that generally don't last long, just ask some of those who tried it. The big question is why do you need a dispatch service? If you're looking for a load then more than likely you're empty.
Do it yourself and save the money. Only exception i could see would be car hauling and those are like M&M's you have to have a sack full to have anything.

I did not just come in asking for good loads. I came in looking for a good dispatch service to help me find good loads. Not exactly the same thing.

I am looking for a company to hire that does dispatching and load building service to keep my hot shot truck loaded and moving.

I am sure they exist but seem to be very hard to find.

gary out in Ca. does that. Load building is a waste of time in most cases.
I tried it for awhile. Look for a good paying piece of light weight freight and go. If something else comes along great. Don't start out with a dollar a mile piece of freight and think it will get better. If the first piece don't pay neither will the rest. There was a online service a one time cost like 500 a month.
If you's in jackson ms. today I could have turned you onto a light weight coil
that paid like 2.65 a mile. You had to have Al coil certifacation.
Do you have your own authority?? If so I could probably help you out.
    What area you in?
Send me if you want to talk about it.
