Freightliner m2 w/ mercedes
Is anyone runnin an M2 with a Mercedes engine? I am lookin at a Sports Chassis, would like the Cummins but of course they only come 08 or newer and I don't want to spend $100k has anyone had any experience with Mercedes? I've heard different things, now just confused, but I found a pretty good deal on one so I need to act fast, help me out please!

This may or may not help but ive driven an M2 tractor with i think the MBE900 putting out 270hp pulling a 36ft trailer it seemed severly under powered pulling 12k but I've also driven a straight truck with the same power and it seems to pull way better with a 5k load (obviously), but the cummins is what I'd want if i could get it.

I've got a 3500 dually right now, lookin to upgrade, its not enough truck for what I'm pulling now much less when I get my 53 ft extendable trailer...... Pickups are out of the question, my only option is a single axle M2 type truck, I'm lookin at freightliners cuz they have sports chassis which I absolutely love!

that 330 will probably be adequate depending on your set up

The road builder I used to work for had a couple FL series, M2, and FL112s powered by the 7.3 MBE900. We found them to be a hit-or-miss, personally.
