Expedite Load Boards
At present we are a tractor only company and have had a couple drivers doing expedite only this year. Apparently on the tractor side it is hard to find reliable carriers/drivers. In the past couple weeks as we expanded our services we have been slammed with van and straight truck freight that we can't cover. We use Sylectus but would like to work with more independents.
What are the load board options for vans and straight trucks?
Also, are any of you working with larger carriers that are posting you on Sylectus?

Yeah, get responses from big carriers but looking for how do I reach out to the independents an smaller carriers that can't qualify. Talking with people this weekend it seems that the independent is the untapped market for this and would love to level the playing field on some level.

Here's one, Bill. Don't know if it's good or bad, but worth a look.

Was just bumping this thread to find out if anyone has any info on the expedite market and rates at this time? Any insights on what this year will be like for expedite?
Any thing going with what you were looking at, Bill? Have you gotten a sprinter/cargo van on board yet, or no interest in that right now? Also wondering about load boards good for 4-wheel vans, and what kind of freight they can haul.
Just opening up my options.

Expedite is slow right now but should start picking up in several weeks. Rates as always will be determined by you. I'm getting solid rates and steady expedite loads now thru a source outside of Sylectus. With vans just remember, they're cheap/easy to start up - meaning everyone and their brother thinks they can make money with one competition is fierce and very few are making true profit with vans.
