I need advice for putting a sleeper on a new f350 or converting the rear portion of the crew cab to accommodate sleeping, preferably leaving cab intact with just removal of rear and/or front passenger seat. Would also like some input on DOT re-writing the sleeper berth/off-duty logging rules and how it applies to sleeping in cab. Also would like some input into volume discount hotel programs if they exist. Thank you.

Corporate lodging is a good hotel card.
Referred to as the CLC card.

I use the CLC card and its great as long as there are motels in the area that accept the CLC card. Discounts are great though. Most are in the 35-50% range from my experience. Almost all of my rooms are under $50 a night and most are in the $30 range. I have stayed in a few not so nice places but most are pretty nice. I have even stayed at some VERY nice places for under $50.

    Ole Timer Thanks this.

If you can find a used "Crew Cab Sleeper" setup for your truck you will be in good shape. Look at their website to get an idea of what it looks like. I believe they have went out of business but there are some used ones floating around out there. Other wise you can build your own frame and have a custom matress made. I had my stuff made and it is very comfortable. I have storage under it for a cooler, food and clothes.

The CrewCab sleeper was never legal . It doesn't meet the height above mattress requirements . FMCSA visited the U.S. distributor in IN and measured them . The distributor quit selling them . The FMCSA also visited an RV transport company ( I think it was Classic ) that was allowing drivers to log sleeper berth in those sleepers and told them logging sleeper in them was a violation.
BUT the new HOS allows drivers to log off duty in a nonmoving CMV . Sleep in your truck but log it off duty , never sleeper berth.

    SHC and Roadmedic Thank this.
