Is it OK to idle your engine all night to heat truck? Also how much should a team be sitting idle 550 miles from home? We have been sitting since Friday morning and they say we should have a load by Monday at latest

So we have been stuck 550 miles from home since a delivery Thursday night, We are praying for a load Monday however it's MLK day so we are very doubtful. Is this normal for an expedite team. we are O/O and feel at this point as we are losing money.

Sure you have to idle to stay warm. Just where are you at, teams shouldn't sit much. But Jan. Can be slow. I just got load picking up at noon, so loads are picking up today. I have a friend with that company, and he seems happy with them. You got to learn your company and what areas to avoid, and that takes time.
