Where to buy PJ Gooseneck?

Does anybody have a recommendation for a really good PJ dealer?
Im based in California Bay Area but I have 3 problems with the dealers around here.

Problem one:
Being CA the price is practically double what it is in TX or anywhere outside CA for that matter.

Problem two:
The dealers here have no clue what the actual capabilies or pros & cons of different models, if I ask a question they seem to look at the brochure for the answer and then confidently try to answer with no real knowledge.
They have no experience in larger gooseneck trailers.

Problem three:
They don't seem to have time to speck out a trailer properly and I'm afraid I'll end up with the almost perfect trailer at double the price I could have paid with an experienced dealer.

In the past I have bought semi trailers in Oklahoma, no state sales tax which makes a big difference on higher dollar trailers. Registered in with OK title but my CA address. I use a dealer in Oklahoma City and they are can do guys and get me anything I need other than a PJ, they are not a PJ dealer and due to PJ having sealers in the area they will not deal with my guy there.

The trailer I want built will be a dream hotshot trailer and will cost a pretty penny, I just want to deal with a can do dealership preferably in OK state but not too picky where so long as it's not the east coast! Midwest to west coast?
Im not looking to buy a stocker off the lot, I want a special build.

Any info on a good dealer that knows these trailers inside out would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Truckon, I obviously haven't done enough research as I would of pegged PJ as one of the best trailers out there, especially the type I'm looking for.
What don't you like about them or what bad reviews have you heard?

 

PJ won't deal direct to customers, you have to buy through a dealer. Pity as the best way to build a trailer is being in direct contact with the manufacturer.

 

Thats good to know! Shame as they seem to be the best finished trailer out there with all the bells and whistles. How's your freight rates doing? It's in the tank as low as Iv seen them here in CA right now even with the CARB regs. Looked good first week of the year but now my trucks will make more money parked in the yard as far as freight goes.

 

That is a good business if you can get good return loads.
Most of our work is construction based but I try to keep a finger in a few pies as possible, you never know which one will get cold. I started a hotshot division last year, some days it's pathetic and other days it is a gold mine. Thankfully we are at a point in our business we can sit in the yard unless it's a gold day! Lol.
