My teammate just bailed. I am devastated.

Yes, there is both solo and team st8's, but Load 1 in Taylor Mi is more of a solo company. Not sure of hiring area, mid-west would be the best. But I know drivers from all over the US doing this, but some don't get home as often as some of us that live in the mid-west or mid-south.

Hello, have you tryed posting on EO there are plenty of options for you there, it's all expediters and I used it when I was in expedite. If that does not work I can give you a number to a fleet owner who is very honest and all new equipment.

Hi Jay. I am also a member of EO. I posted an ad when it happened, along with the ad I put up here. I have had iffy results from Craigslist. I seem to get more responses from people who don't meet the qualifications to work for this company. They are strict on drugs, DUIs and felonies... And blood sugar.

    mje Thanks this.

Yes, most companies are strict on those issues for the obvious reasons of course. I have always had good luck on EO. Craigslist can be ok sometimes it can be a little sketchy lol. Let me know if I can help and good luck to you

Just wondering if you called Panther and asked them?

Panther, like FedEx has drivers already qualified to drive for them

Is type 2 diabetes controlled via pill (not insulin) an issue with expedite companies? I have my class A CDL and a valid medical card, just not much experience. I'm just looking to get my foot in the door into driving a class B vehicle.

    mje Thanks this.

Thanks for the info. I recently found out about it and I plan on filling out the online application that can be submitted to all the companies. I'm hoping I'll find something.

    mje Thanks this.

I'm not sure but if you have a valid (dot) physical and medical card that is good for at least 1 yr. You should be fine.

They make all their new drivers take a completely new physical and urinalysis. They have been stopping people in orientation who have too much sugar in their urine. I am sure other places do it, but this is the first place I've actually seen do it. So, if you drink Mountain Dew for caffeine, be wary.

If it is under control you are probably fine. I think they are worried about people who don't know or lie to slip through the cracks and then pass out behind the steering wheel or die in their sleepers.

    mje Thanks this.
