CDL or no CDL/ 26000+/-

    If your Truck and trailer have a combined gross weight or combined gross weight rating of 26000lbs or less and you stay in Texas and never ever leave the state then no CDL is required. If you decide to cross the state lines then any vehicle with or without the trailer that has a gvw or gvwr of 10000lbs requires a CDL. All duallys are over 10000lbs gvwr so even if you ran a pickup only across state lines you are required to have a CDL.
