Do you need a logbook and DOT medical card to drive a cargo van OTR?

    I would think with the way they are doing it now any cdl holder must have a medical card since they are suspending ppls cdl for not registering their medical card with the state

    In case you didn't notice I got conflicting answers. Somebody said you don't need a medical for anything under 10k pounds and don't need a CDL for anything under 26k lbs. I am looking for concrete proof either way, not my uncle's friend's cousin said so.

    Google or Bing your query for North America and then the individual states that your concerned about to see written "proof " general guidelines are available Federally and state deviations are available from sites for individual states
