Hello everyone, I'm seeking opinions/ advice on gooseneck break systems electric vs electric/hydraulic. I'm looking to purchase a Load Max 40' GN but not sure which way to go on the brake system. It's a couple of thousand dollars difference and don't mind paying the extra cash if comes with great benefit. Your input is greatly appreciated!

I would go with the electric over hydrolic, we have the electric. seals leak on magnets there destroyed.

Brother I have brand new load Trail/ Load Max it is leaning to one side spoke to factory ( guys name is Rod in customer service ) says it is with in factory specs I can e-mail you pictures if you like. I am looking for someone to fix it. Build time is about 6weeks for Load Max where as 12 weeks for some others during the peak of build season if that tells you something. Hope this helps.

STAY AWAY FROM DISCS. Look like a great option, but VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE. I have them. Thought they were the answer. Next trailer will have hydraulic for sure, but no more disc.

Plain old elec. suck. Elec./Hyd. is the answer, but stay away from disc.

BTW, a "couple thousand" is on the high end. You have bargaining room there...
