How come the majority of Expedite trucks are in the form of a sleeper/box truck? I figure it would be more ideal to have a single axle sleeper, a 28' pup trailer with lift gate, and a tag axle. The only difference I could see is insurance.

At least that set up allows a forklift to enter vs straight truck not so much, maybe they figure less driver pay like class B vs class A ????

There are a couple people who run them but overall the straight truck is more easier to deal with.

Forklifts enter straight trucks ok. They have crank down dollies in the rear.
The single axle semi probably wouldn't have a sleeper big enough for a team. Most of the best paying epedited loads require teams.
