just because the trailer is 5600 lbs doesn't mean it puts 5600 lbs on your rear axle

Really? As long as you position your load right I would think it could be done, just my opinion.

I've seen some srw f350s and dodge 3500s pulling 40's in Louisiana but no f250s. Anything is possible. Oh and every dot officer is different, and just like everyone else some people are good at their job and other need to go back to the drawing board.

he says ill run out of truck before trailer, trucks sticker says 9600 gvwr but all brochures-adds-even on fords site say 12000 with a 23000 gcwr, right now i just bought a slider 5th wheel and it goes foward about 6 inches ahead of center so ill load a truck on it and go to the scales and see, i can legaly put 4850 on the steer and 6100 on the drive to keep legal.

That 9600lbs on the truck is going to be something you will always be something to be concerned about.

You'll be suprised but the trailer takes about all the weight. I run at 26,000 every time I'm loaded and I've never had to worry about the drive being over weight. It is a lot about load placement though, don't get me wrong.

Wedge I had Airbags in my 08 F250 and it essentially gave me a 1 ton rear axle weight. Not sure what the DOT would say about it as it is not in the door sticker that way. I traded the F250 for a Dodge dually so I am not sure what the door sticker said.
