I guess if you keep perfect logs, never make mistakes, and always have sympathetic LEO. My handwriting looks like chicken scratch and i'M not so lucky. Maybe not you but guaranteed I do things much faster and neater on a laptop than ever by scribbling on paper. I'M all about streamlining and speeding up the routine and monotonous day to day things.

Just can not make everyone happy, I think my handwritten logs look very neat, I found this to be the key to cheating the book as DOT normally does not spend much time hassling you when there clean and neat. But now I run completely legal and want to squeeze every minute out of the week,, a 15 minute error can put me over on the 11, or leave me short on the 10.

I'm not perfect by any stretch, I can and do make mistakes here and there, just found that DDL minimize them because they show immediately. Besides computer printed logs are the cleanest.

As far as info, in memos I write very few things, BOL Number, City, State pf duty staus change. I do not write Pretrip or posttrip, load unload fueling or any of that its not required, Just City and State. On the top tractor trailer date mileage.

I only write the required, period.
