I may be able to help you once you get your insurance. After I got my numbers I found a guy in my hometown who was starting a dispatch service, about a year ago he sold his business ( medical reasons ) the guy who bought the business has maintained the relationships with the brokers and has grown his contacts. Every now and then if something happens to one of the guys he is working for he calls me and if I don't have anything going on I will take a load, he knows I will run it if it pays. I will also call him if something I can not cover and it pays well. I have talked with a company he looks for when they get out they have told me their revenues have increased substantially. I usually only work for a couple of customers, then when I get way out it helps to have some help.

Here is a idea that I could work for you, if you built a load east to say Cleveland drop off and build back to your area.i have looked at that scenario just off the load board there is enough freight moving back and forth to start your business. The key would be to stay disciplined and focus back and forth, may into Michigan, stay out of the Northeast, Deep South is slow.

As for leasing a gooseneck, this company is out of your area, but may be willing to rent/lease you a trailer or have an associate company near you. I used to tow their equipment when I drove heavy wrecker in Albuquerque, decent folks.
