You'll get it. Another thing a lot of guys mess up on is, while on the test drive they can ask you questions like what was the bridge height on the bridge you're going under, or just went under, or whats the posted speed limit on the sign you just passed. Just be sure to look at all the street signs, ect.
If you have the time go over and watch them give the skills test to a few people, and even follow them on a drive tests so you'll know the route/routes they take. This way you'll know the speed limits, bridge heights, and know where any tight turns will be.

Lite bug Thanks this. -

Congrats on getting your CDL. How was it with your one-ton rig? Any insights you can pass on to a newbie here that will be doing it in the coming months?

It's a inch. I Think I got a BIG break when she took me on my drive we both ran our mouths the hole time & she was nice. I was nervous as hell. Lol -
Well nervous or not you did it. Did you do any driving/hauling before you tested? Are you getting your own authority or leasing on to a company? I thought it was funny what you said about the semi drivers. The CDL book, FMCSA, and other places all say you should test in a vehicle similar to what you are going to operate.
Way to go! -
