Really close on rear axle ratings

    Theres adjustable 5th wheels you can use, set them foward of the rear axel by pulling a handle, i turned my brackets around and got 5" of offset to throw weight on the steers, justa t

    Unfortunately. I just scalled earlier today and don't have much room to spare on the front either.

    2" ahead of the rear axle is rule of thumb.

    Running over your axle ratings isn't recommended, but most one tons are over. Not much you can do but keep a close eye on things.

    DOT go by tire ratings for the most part if thats what your worried about.

    Just found out last night that aam (axle manuf.)rates my axle at 10k. Trying to get supporting documents so I can show if needed.

    Talked to a dot officer and could not get a strait answer on if they go by tire capacity, door sticker, or the actual axle manufactures rating. Go figure.
