    Hotshot truck and trailer, no mc numbers,no dot numbers, no name on the sides, no fire ext,flares nothing and run the roads, i seen 2 in diff areas run past the scales and never touch the brakes and looked heavy too and never seen the cops run after them.

    If your vehicle grosses less than 10Klbs none of the DOT stuff is needed. Usually hot shot vans.

    They get caught sooner or later. And usually its not cheap.

    Watch at the scales, every once in a while you'll see a hot shot or 3 car wedge sitting behind a scale, guessing that shoulder length rubber glove wasn't any fun....

    NC scale house had one the other week...DOT man was all over that truck.
    They do get caught....even under 10,000 lbs if you are making money hauling it you got to have a DOT number.
    At least that is what a trooper told me one time hauling a race car with a dually pickup.

    how do you know he had no flares or fire ext?

    one i talked to in sc, another in houston, both said never had em or big tag[plates], one no dot numbers,both no med cards cdl.
