Anyone have their company registered(with the feds), in a different state than you live to get cheaper insurance rate? Is this common practice using the registered agent address? Been researching a little and seems legit. Thanks for any input.

Matt, You may want to talk to both State tax offices, Insurance Commisions, and DOT offices before pulling the trigger? It's likely your truck would have to be registered in the same state it's insured out of. Beside that, from what I hear PO Box home terminals are kinda frowned upon these days.

Does anyone have any experience with Northwest Registered Agent, LLC with setting up their business entity? After going through and comparing the cost, it seems to be $300 dollars less than LegalZoom to initially set up the LLC.

Go get some solid advice on what you need to do, the LLC won't protect your assets if you are trying to do that. If you are doing it for tax reasons, then look at an S or better yet C corp, with a good accountant, a C corp will actually reduce your tax liability.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am currently comparing the pro's and con's of the options between LLC, S and C corp. I am about 6 months out from getting the business license going. I am just trying to see if anyone has experience with or knows anyone that does have experience with Northwest Registered Agent.

No you can't. the agent is not your physical representative for operations but only for legal requirements as a presence in the state for the FMCSA.

Why don't you have a physical address?
