If you want miles and a pay check we advise everyone to stay away from interstate distributor. If you absolutly cant get hired by anyone else then interstate is for you .... They will hire anyone who will put up with making them lots of money while you go broke. They have the ultimate worst health ins. But it will cost you high $$$ for it .... They have 401k but they dont put any $$ into it. No parts in stock in shops so if your truck needs something you will sit until they decide whether they want to fix the truck or not. For your own good ... We advise you to stay away from this company.

we run team for Landstar, very happy truly no forced dispatch. No central dispatch agency, agents are all over North America. Payday is every week after a I think 2 week waiting period but could be after a week, I truly forget been eons since the first check. BUT, if you need to be babysat, and told what to do, where to go Landstar is NOT for you. Enrollment process is very long but as far as we are concerned well worth the wait, if you can't wait it out, then go run for one of the others. Whoever you run for do us all a favor and don't take cheap freight!

Yes you can, but you probably won't get rich as do the guys who stay out for long periods of time. Your best bet would be to hook up with local courier companies in your area if you want to be home everyday. If you're looking to be out and home evry other day, I'd go talk to the airfreight forwards around the airport. Good Luck

People usually start into expediting driving for a fleet owner . The pay is usually 60% of the revenue to the team but you buy the fuel . You drive like you own it and get to pick or refuse loads .

Are you talking about a 26000-33000 rig or a van?

Both . I did see an ad for a team to drive a van but that is rare . That owner must get regular runs over 500 miles . I also saw an ad looking for a team that didn't want to run over 3,000 miles a week .
