I know they are there and they are 100% O/O. other than that, no news is good news.
-
Have no knowlage of Bolt but see there trucks from time to time
-
When I talked to them not too long ago, they said their cargo van division had slowed and they had a lot of sitting drivers. Other than that they look okay
Baack Thanks this. -
I am leased to them in Tractor div. email if I can help
-
I have searched the forums and have not found any suitable info. I have been talking to a recruiter, Mark H. @ Bolt and it seems pretty good. I would appreciate any information about Bolt.
I know it is a lot of questions, but you can feel free to only answer the ones you want to. Thank you. - CT
- What are the things you like most about Bolt?
- What are the things you don't like and would like to change at Bolt?
- What kind of miles?
- Where do you go?
- Where do you get "stuck?"
- Can I use the QualComm to do paperless logging (do you use it?) or do I have the option of paper logging?
- How much sitting (how long, how often)?
- How much deadhead?
- How do the dispatchers handle rejecting a dispatch?
- Are the loads "shipper load and count" or are the drivers responsible?
- Are there any fuel discounts?
- Anything else I forgot to ask about Bolt?Baack Thanks this. -
I looked into bolt, panther and a couple of others (last year). I did finally go with Panther.
I took part in one of those interactive web things that bolt puts on, I thought they were informative. They give the drivers the option of using paper or electronic logs. They did not require hazmat.
I may have missed something, are you a truck owner or are you looking for a fleet owner? -
First off, I have a Volvo VNL770 tractor, so I don't know if that really constitutes and "expediter" since I have to pull a 53 footer too?
Secondly, I have been talking with Panther and am very impressed!. Due to some mitigating circumstances, I have an open door to sign on with them, but one of my main reasons I bought my Volvo was to show this beautiful land we live in to my children in person. Unfortunately, Panther's age limit is 18 and I can only take one, so I couldn't take my wife and any child. A real show stopper almost. As I said, I have been very impressed, but I have been approved at Bolt too. My biggest itch with Bolt is the Deadhead. First 50 miles free on each dispatch and then only $0.35 /mile for the rest. Bottom line is each deadhead will cost money. Bolt and Panther look solid. I will have to make a decision soon. Tough one! -
They both have straight and t/t (panther and bolt). I'm not familiar with the way t/t works at either.
I also drive for a fleet owner, so I have no perspective from the owner standpoint. -
Bolt does lease trucks but it is a joke you don;t get paid good Yes they have paperless logs The dispatchers tell you a few choice things when you turn down a load lots of thing you need to know about this company and others before you deside whom to chose
rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
