Back to the OP anywhere from 450 to 600 miles depending where you run. DOT isn't stupid. In the 11 Western anything over 500 gets look at closely. The 2 main reasons is the Mtns and 3 states have an reduced speed limits for T/T's. I try to limit my driving and on duty time to a max of 10 hours per day. This is so I can opt to run longer than 7 days. Granted it doesn't always work out and I get stuck doing a 34 in an area with nothing to do.

I'm regional, and drive a lot of pig trails. And feel like I've accomplished a lot, if I cover 600 miles. Sadly, I generally use my entire 14 and rarely use my 11 in it's entirety.
If I have mostly interstate, and a simple/single drop and hook. I can get 600+ easily. -
Lets get real here. If you actually drive 670 miles in a day, you may log it legally, but, you actually drove for 14 hours more than likely. Even running I-10 from Ontario, Ca. to El Paso, Tx. with favorable road conditions and no fuel stops would be a stretch to log it in 11 hours. And to say you can do it day in and day out isn't going to fly with the DOT when they audit you. You can get away with it some of the time, but, not ALL the time.

meh, that depends on the states you run regularly, and DOT knows it. I run Colo., Wyo., Ne., KS, NM, I can log 700 miles every day and DOT won't blink an eye becuase we do it all the time. I ran 548 miles today, worked 12.25 hrs, and only went 78 miles into Nebraska. -
I can do 700 to 750 if allready loaded.....

Stiker and Coonass you must drive trucks that can run 75-80. I'm sure you know most company trucks are governed to 65 tops. Here in Calif if you are travelling north-south 500-550 miles is what CHP considers the most you can travel during a drive shift.

Yes a Driver can drive 14 hours in a 24 hour period.My question is why would a OTR driver burn thru their 14 hours. They would hit their 70 after 5 1/2 days and be stuck BFE for a 34 hour restart.

I also routinely run 600+ miles in a day. Its usually on a dedicated out and back 1500-1800 mile run where half of the mileage is with an empty tank. -
