His case has been held over until 5/19/2011.

Did a search of his name on Hamilton County TN website in the courts area.

I'm just sittin' around right now, Rollover might be busy, but I'm here to help!

Looks like karma is headed this guy's way. It's not hard to use certain camera angles and telling people this and that is going on to lead them into thinking something is wrong, I can clearly see that this guy is traveling in a passing lane in most videos which is a no no in most states.

Well, I got to thinking about this again, thinking the date has passed, and something should have come of it, but nope, his attorney is really busy filing continuances on his behalf.

New date is 9/19/2011. This is going even slower than the Minnesota trials on the fatigue checklist.

I have been reading thru this thread. We are our own worse enemies. One day we complain about big government, the nanny state, taking personal responsibility, yet we lay down and let government and corporations and insurance companies dictate every facet of our lives.

In Ohio, the speed limit was 55mph for years. Then, because they wanted Federal money, they raised the speed limit to 65mph. Were the roads constructed safer? Were the trucks redesigned? NO. Nothing changed at all, but someone in government just used a pencil and eraser.

So all of those drivers who had been driving 65 and getting tickets and labeled unsafe, and paying higher insurances were just plain out of luck.

Same thing with I40 from Arizona to California, where the roads magically are safe at 75mph and now are only safe at 55mph.

My issue is not safety, but who defines safety? In Tennessee they have quite a few highway roads where the speed limit is 55 for no apparent reason. (ok, maybe revenue)

As grown men (and women) we are entrusted to drive these rigs as safe as possible. And believe it or not, we do a pretty good job of it. If you notice with all of his videos, NOT ONE ACCIDENT. Why? Because the drivers knew what they were doing, as most of us do.

Are there accidents? YES. Even fatalities, and these accidents are caused by many factors. But to try to tell people who have been doing their job for 5 - 50 years is rather making children out of all of us.

Bad enough we have the government telling us when to go to sleep and to log every time we go to the bathroom.

I may have been one of those drivers, and because an insurance company tells me I am supposed to have 8 second following distance, i know thru experience that is not even plausible in many situations.

And in spite of my "maverick attitude", not one accident in over a million miles of driving. I take my job serious and I do not want to hurt anyone nor damage my license but it is my responsiblity to drive the truck in a manner i see fit.

When we are maneuvering thru ice and snow and rain and wind, the safety manager, the insurance company, the boss is not there to hold my hand. I have been entrusted to handle that rig properly and I do it.

If Mr Video was taping me, he would have an encyclopedia of information, because he is using the rules of insurance companies to tell me how to do my job.

None of us should fall for that or support it.

Just as an add-on, I was watching the video on the Dynamite Truck. There was a cop who drove by and did nothing. Do you know why? Because that cop saw nothing wrong. If we let insurance companies dictate how we drive, we may was well get out of this business, because you wont be making any money.

If traffic is moving at 70mph in a 55mph zone, the law says for you to drive 55mph, but in truth, that would be an impediment to the flow of traffic, which is the greatest contributor of accidents. (people would have to swerve and change lanes to go around you)

Some of you may be aware of the driving technique of driving 2-3mph slower than the flow of traffic while in the middle lane. It extends your following distance and your "big picture" view. Well, as well as that may improve your safety record, you are a danger on the road. Because people then have to pass you on the right. And herein lies the problem. Insurance companies love you to drive with this "rock in the stream" technique, but in the real world, you become a danger.

I dont post here, but I received an email from OOIDA that this guy may be arrested for attempted murder or something on that line. It could not have happened to a better guy. I hope they throw the book at him for ...............breaking the law.
