I can't see the vids with this device...only 'cause I'm unedjumuhkaytud but when I get my big 'puter up and running, I'll take a gander. Thus far, he sounds like a snivelling tattletale d***head.

And he may well be creating the problem he is recording. Any idea what city he's in?

 

I've watched quite a few of his videos since seeing this thread ... In almost all of the videos that I watched, there were slow trucks ( governed at less than 70mph ) tailgating in 55 mph zones. I don't argue the fact that company trucks need to be governed, but I have always thought it creates an aggressive driver. For the most part, those are the guys you see flying through the truck stop parking lot and tailgating / changing lanes in slow zones. Not saying all of them .. It's like their only chance to pass somebody. But on the other hand it can be relaxing, just chilling in the right lane, watching the world pass you by in a 70 zone. Only in a couple of his video's do you see any Large Cars.

 

I like how he says "We're 15 over the posted. This is a disqualifying offence."

If anyone got his butt into court, with his own video as evidence, he would be walking for a while.

 

He is trying to show bad truck drivers - which he does very well.

All this banter about his own safety is moot.

The point is to make us aware of our own driving shortcomings, so that we don't do something so stupid as to cause a death simply because we want to save a few minutes of our own precious time!!!

The "banter" over the cameraman's safety is definitely NOT moot. He explains, in almost embarrassing detail, each traffic law he is breaking, as though he is exempt from and above the law because of his noble, vigilante crusade.

Last week, I was overtaken by a taxi. The taxi driver used half of my lane to overtake, forcing me onto the shoulder, and then cut me up. I was doing the speed limit when he overtook. I estimated his speed at about 20mph over the speed limit. I got on the phone and called his boss, complained about him, and then left it at that. More action on my part was not justified.

 

The guys that support what he's doing make me laugh, yes there are guys out there that should not be driving but i bet theres not one person on here that hasnt tailgated or had to cut someone by no fault of there's. On some of these road in citys its preety hard to keep safe following distance between you and the car infront of you when they keep cutting in front of you to exit or just jockey around traffic. This guys day will come when he himself is going to cause a wreck and when the see the video and the time and determine he was driving while filming he will be up the creek with out a paddle. He needs to get a life theres way more car drivers out there doing dangerous things then trucks but this is his way of cashing in on trucking.

 

Sad thing is, when I was hauling for one company we did a lot of military and hazmat stuff on our decks. If we ever saw someone like that we would press the big red button on our dash that would send an SOS alert. Within minutes there would be about 10 to 15 LEO's surrounding the car with weapons drawn.

We did not mess around when it came to any possible hijack or suspicious activity around our trucks.

He had better be careful, he may find himself in a world of hurt one day.
