Good Trucking Companies ??

I know this is the Bad Trucking Company side. I have seen just about every major company on this place. I wonder: are there any good trucking companies out there ?? Seems to me that if there are, you never hear about them. I have got to believe that there are excellent opportunities out there. I would like to hear more good stories than bad ones. How about it there gang, what do ya think ??

Re: Good Trucking Companies ??

OK ,I am driving for Roehl now, probably one of the better companies out there.I have been driving since 1992,retired in 1998,and due to things that happen in life I am out of retirement and back on the road again.I started back out again in Feb.of this year.Signed on with Swift,(bad mistake).Put up with their BS for 4 months, and quit.In Aug.I signed on with Roehl,I got a lot of info.on this sight about them.Mostly good info.If you are just starting into truckin get ready to turn your whole world around. It aint no 9 to 5 job.If you are driving over the road you gotta get miles to make a decent paycheck.I have had one minor dispute with Roehl and I think I have it straightened out.Even tho you sign on with a good co.there are still customers to put up with. Some of them can be a real PITA.And there are some darn good customers out there too. There are drivers at Swift and JB who like what they are doing. Why?I dont know, but if they like it more power to them.I am on a 7 on 7 off program, which works out well for me.I am probably one of the oldest members here.I can still do what I did as a young man,but it takes me a hell of a lot longer to get er done.So i can honestly say that Roehl is a decent outfit to drive for,and according to what I have read on this sight,Schneider aint a bad place to get started and get your feet wet.Crete also seems to have positive feedback.Look around at these posts and try to form your opinion. There are hundreds of driving jobs available out there.Good luck.
