    Hi,

Is anyone familiar with people who do big rig recovery?

    Thanks,

    Willie

    Hi:

Thanks for your quick reply. What I am actually looking for is for people who do this for a living. Not just repo, but perhaps people who do recovery for trucks that are abandoned by drivers who just walk away.

    Thanks,

    Willie

    Hi:

You can run, but you can't hide! :)

They'll call you, then they'll try to find you. They'll check your house and truck stops near you. They have been known to follow drivers and catch them on a fuel island. When they go inside is their perfect opportunity. You come back out and WTF.

My friend had his repo-ed not too long ago. He dodged them for about 6 months. The guy called him so much they could of become friends. He would park the truck 30 miles from home across the state line when he was home.

He finally gave up and told them where it was at. Now he's a company driver.

a repo guy tried to repo a dirtbike from me one time. he was unsuccessful the frist time. i paid up wha ti owed, then it went into repo again and this time he just called me and he was very cool. u jsut have to scare them al itlte bit but make sure they reralize ur just ar egular guy
thats all there is to it. this guy was cusssing at me in my face on my fronst step and i laughed at him and said "U can come in here if u want the dirtbike" but he refused.

ok thats bad advice i'm intoxidcated what u should honestly do is pay your bills and if u cant do that try and sell the truckto pay the loan back or just let them repo it.

some tow companies do this as a "side line" to thier normal every day duties..

only from what a student told me some weeks ago, he got shot at, because the truck owner (nee-deadbeat) thought he was stealing it.....

after this student (tow operator) told him why he was there, the dead beat still wanted to argue, but he knew he couldn't, and told him to hurry up, and get it and go.....

the cops DO NOT escort the repo-man.....you are on your own......

it is not a glamorus job....and many times you have days of no work.....

this is why tow companies do this "on the side".........

that's part of the repo man...

the other "recovery", you NEED to be an employee of a particular company (trucking company).........i do not believe one can be a "free-lancer"......

A friend of mine met a guy years ago, who picked up abandoned trucks and trailers for North American Van Lines. He was a busy man.....

Our company employs a husband/wife team and that's all they do. The company saves money that way as they usually haul loads with them.

You might talk your way in with a company that way?

That one repo guy was named Mario. Mario, you out there! :)

What company do you work for, if you don't
    mind me asking?

Hirschbach Motor Lines. They have alot of drivers quit and it's a full time job retrieving them.

I was talking sell yourself to another company that hasn't thought of that idea yet.
